Meet Morgan.

Growing up I was the quintessential youngest child. When we traveled my suitcase was an explosion of chaos, whereas my older sister’s was immaculately ordered and neat. She was a Container Store loyalist long before we fell in love with Clea & Joanna and a master purger before Marie Kondo taught us how to “spark joy.”

When I graduated from college I would hit the point of feeling suffocated by my apartment I would attempt to organize, but I didn’t yet understand the heavy lifting containers do. I would group everything and think, “why spend extra money on containers — everything is organized!” Spoiler alert — 2 seconds later everything was askew. Fast forward to March 2020 and we were all home ALL THE TIME. I felt suffocated by clutter. I bought The Home Edit’s entire pantry and fridge collection and got to work. I made half a dozen returns and orders, slowly fine tuning my space. The kitchen is an area I admittedly keep coming back to because its communal, but mostly because I am not domestic in that way.

From the kitchen my focus shifted as I realized that an organized, uncluttered home was infinitely more peaceful. I grew up in a family whose motto was “If you love it, buy it in every color!” which is admittedly still my default. As I’ve organized I have continued my efforts to prune and purge. Our reality of instant gratification and bulk orders (hello Amazon) has just left us all with So. Much. Stuff.

Sometimes knowing where to start is the hardest part, and I would love to help you get there!

Built by my grandfather himself, my grandparents lived in the same house for fifty-five years, affectionally called “Stinson Hill” by longtime residents of their small Louisiana town. I lost my grandfather in 2020 to kidney cancer. Even during unbearable pain, he took note of the house’s condition, and I did my very best to create a peaceful atmosphere for him. He could not have cared less about any form of organization, but the contentment he felt within his own four walls is something that everyone should experience.
